Extra Dermal Micro Point

In 1994, Mr. PERREY filed a patent for the invention of revolutionary hair replacement mounting without glue or braiding.

The "Thermo-retractable Micro-cannulas " made of thermo-formed Polyolefin.

This method according to the invention resides in the attachment to the base of ones existing hair using Thermo-retractable Micro-cannulas allowing solid and durable binding of the bridge without the need for surgery or anesthesia. No longer need for traditional fasteners that consist of clips or Micro-Cylinders, which use metallic materials with all the disadvantages inherent in such materials:

Discomfort :

-Breakage of the hair by the cutting edges, thus reducing short term hair volume at the fixing points.
-Trauma to the scalp caused by the rigidity or oxidation which can be a source of allergies or skin problems. -Hair loss at the fixing points due to excessive traction.
-The impossibility to pass MRI
-Being perfectly radiopaque to x-rays
-Full bonding systems do not allow scalp health.
-Attaching by braiding gives a result that is very thick and does not allow optimal binding.

Micro-cannulas were therefore the ideal solution for binding hair replacement systems. The major drawback of micro-cannulas even though miniaturized to the extreme (3mm) was still the thickness.

Being perpetually in search of perfection, Mr. PERREY continued to seek better miniaturization of the process despite the technical limitations of that time.

He then developed the Extra Dermal Micro Point, a second revolution in the domain of hair care.

The EDMP's use the same technique as the Micro-cannulas but with different material, fiber in place of poly-olefin without heat shrinking.

The procedure went from being 3 mm to under a millimeter, almost undetectable to the touch, with exactly the same benefits as Micro-cannulas. The posing of the EDMP's requires knowledge and a rare dexterity, resulting in long and meticulous training for our qualified technician.

Extra Dermal Micro Points are the hair replacement system's fasteners inherent to the invention patent filed by Mr Fabrice PERREY (invention number No. 9,401,593, issued 24/05/1996 INPI.)
