Ectodermal Dysplasia

A Rare genetic anomaly, usually hereditary, the cause of a malfunction of the body or an anatomical structure normally absent from the ectoderm. Dysplasia is a developmental anomaly of an organ being accompanied by operational problems and spoilage thereof.

Symptoms:

Hair that is dry and sparse/thinning
Very thin skin
Anodontia (a partial or complete lack of teeth)
A characteristic facial dysmorphia (abnormally formed face)
Sudden partial or total loss of vision
Failure of the digestive system and pulmonary organs
Athelia, agenesis of the nipples, having no breasts and/or nipples.

We can distinguish many varieties of ectodermal dysplasia (about 220 forms of ectodermal dysplasia have been identified, they do not all have the same characteristics)

For a person affected by this rare genetic anomaly, daily life is not easy.
Mainly social life a far as we are concerned, because from an early age, the child is confronted with the eyes of others.
Regular mockery on their physical aspect, mainly the lack of hair is detrimental to a normal school integration and subsequently their everyday life.

The different existing techniques that deal with the hair problems of this genetic disorder are almost nonexistent.
The classic wig is easily détectable. The heat it generates, due to its thickness causes an unbearable permanent discomfort for people with E.D.

Thin, delicate skin makes "integral" adhesive systems impossible to use.
No solutions for hair surgery exists.
The Bridge Capillaire turns out to be "the" ideal solution for E.D. cases

The bridge, almost undetectable, thanks to its light weight, airy design and ease of daily wear, permits a social integration both in academic life and subsequently the adult world.

The Bridge Capillaire may be proposed at a very early age, from 7-8 years old, and can evolve following the development of the personality and desires of the person with E.D.

An exceptional 20% reduction of the total cost of the bridge is applied to people with Ectodermal Dysplasia or similar diseases.

Testimony from a mom

A little over 14 years ago, I lived the happiest day of my life because I had just given birth to a beautiful boy; not knowing a long and hard fight was awaiting us because we soon realized that something was wrong. At the age of 2 years, the diagnosis was pronounced that he was suffering from "Ectodermal Dysplasia". This pathology affects the sweat glands, the absence of teeth, and very fine and thin hair. According to the doctors, this orphan's disease is transmitted from mother to son. But four years later, I gave birth to a little girl who also is affected. She suffered because of her physical differences in rapport with her hair around her girlfriends. So we decided to have a wig made for her but she could not stand wearing it. By searching the internet, I found out that one could do a Bridge Capillaire and it that it is painless. Since that day, Fabrice has been a savior for us and our little princess. Because, so much sufference has been lifted from my daughter, people no longer mistake her for a boy but just a little girl like any other. A little girl who loves Fabrice and who, when we went out the first time, finally discovered the sensation of the wind in her hair. A beautiful moment. Thanks to you

Testimony from valérie.

Suffering since birth from ectodermal dysplasia, my childhood was a daily ordeal because the eyes of others, mockery, I felt so different from a normal girl.
21 years ago, I met Fabrice. I could say that this "Bridge Capillaire" has changed my life, but the reality is that it has revolutionized my being.
Year after year Fabrice has perfectly comprehended all my developments, from a youhg girl to the woman I have become.
His work, his art, and his golden touch have enabled me to be a natural woman. Each new hairstyle reveals my personality. This hair is mine more than ever. Without Fabrice, part of me would be nonexistent. He knows how to make me beautiful; and thanks to his talent, with each day that passes, with every look and each mirror I pass, I remember that beauty is a symbiosis of intellect and creativity.
Hair I dreamed of, imagined.... even more than that, hair like a miracle, a re-birth. And now, it is here and an integral part of my femininity.
I am happy to tell you how much Fabrice still managed to surprise me with my last Bridge, a success! I get compliments everywhere. Many people, complete strangers compliment me. They tell me, to my great satisfaction, that most women would love to have "that beautiful hair"... without ever suspecting anything. What a great compliment!
For 21 years, Fabrice's work has been my happiness and if I had one compliment to make: I would say, do not change a thing, and especially never stop being a genius who invents beauty.
